If you plan on remodeling or building a new home it
may be difficult to know where to start. There are many steps in the design process,
but one of the first steps is to evaluate your current living situation. An Information Style Sheet is helpful in this
process. It asks you basic questions about how you and your family use your current
home. What do you like about your home? What doesn't work for you? What
rooms are never used? What rooms do you spend most of your time in? Is your
garage used for storing everything but your car? These are some of the important
questions that will help you and your designer understand your needs.
The Callahan House
The Callahan House is an example of a house with
character designed and built on a tight budget. The Callahan's are a family oriented
couple and wanted a house designed for family functions.
